About the Spot
We are a magazine about AI girlfriend websites. That means first-person stories from the front lines of digital companionship, plus app cards that give each platform a Spot score out of 10. We also publish our picks, look at pictures and video, test chat and roleplay, track what things cost, and report on what it's actually like living with these products day to day. I started the Spot because I was spending too much time and money figuring out which services were worth it, and I figured I might as well write it all down.
How we score
Every app card carries a Spot score out of 10. That number is the average of six scores, each drawn from a shared evidence base we maintain across the category. We distill every platform's own documentation plus the pages that rank on Google for the category into 27 scored dimensions across seven pillars. Each dimension gets an evidence note and a source, and the full scorecard lives on every review page for you to inspect. We re-check scores quarterly and log any changes right there on the page. No platform pays for a score, a rank, or a listing. Some links carry referral tags; they never affect a score. You can see the full breakdown on every card in the apps.
Where the facts come from
The evidence base is shared across all our reviews. We start with a platform's own documentation, then layer in what actually ranks on Google for the category, because that's what users are finding anyway. The 27 dimensions sit inside seven pillars, and every score ties back to a note and a source. If we change a score after a quarterly re-check, the log on the page tells you when and why.

Corrections
We log score changes on each review page after our quarterly re-checks. If we get a fact wrong in a story, we fix it and note the correction. Spot us in error? The fastest route is [email protected].
What we won't write about
This is adults-only territory. Any platform that permits content involving minors or non-consensual imagery of real people is excluded from our coverage and reported to the appropriate authorities. We don't debate this; we simply don't engage.
